7th AmCham Business Barometer: During the crisis, Germany strengthens its position as a leading investment location for US companies.
Although there was a drop in revenues, employment and investments in 2009, Germany was impacted less severely by the crisis than other European countries. US companies in Germany have an optimistic outlook for 2010.
The AmCham Business Barometer surveys the satisfaction of US companies with Germany. For the seventh year in a row, AmCham Germany and The Boston Consulting Group asked US investors for their opinions on Germany as a business location relative to other European countries. This year's survey was conducted at the beginning of 2010 among 102 US companies with a total of approyimately €150 billion in revenue and more than 350,000 direct jobs in Germany.
