The US-based data center operator Cloud HQ is currently building one of the largest data center complexes in Europe in the city of Offenbach. The project has an investment volume of one billion euros.

The construction, which started in 2020, is the first project of the American data center specialist in the EU. Due to the rapidly growing demand for data center capacities, Cloud HQ is already planning to build a second data center on the Offenbach campus.

Moreover, the city will host Cloud HQ´s German headquarters. The newly founded Cloud HQ Germany GmbH will coordinate, monitor and operate the company´s further growth on the German market.

The management team for the German market is planned to grow to 15 people by the end of this year. After completion of the computing complex, around 150 men and women will work on the campus in the east of Offenbach, which is the former site of the printing machine manufacturer Manroland.
