Dear Readers,
Over the past few months, our state has seen a number of groundbreaking events. It’s been an exciting time. Here’s a look at those developments and more:
ZEISS Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology started construction for a new multifunctional factory at its Wetzlar site in Central Hessen. Ineratec held the groundbreaking ceremony for its pioneering direct air capture plant in the industrial park Frankfurt Höchst. In North Hessen, SMA Solar Technology AG has started constructing a new 20 GW solar inverter factory in Niestetal. And in the southern part of our state, after two years of construction, we welcomed the opening of an innovative Additive Manufacturing Center at the Technical University of Darmstadt (TU Darmstadt).
I was also pleased to hear the recent announcement that the European Bank of Pictet Group is relocating its headquarters from Luxembourg to Frankfurt, adding to the growing number of people working in the banking and stock market sector in our state’s largest city.
Finally, check out our story about Japanese specialty chemicals – and culture! – made in Hessen. Kuraray, one of the world’s largest suppliers of industrial polymers and synthetic microfibers, has found an ideal place for its sustainability-minded company and socially-oriented staff.
Learn more about these developments below. If you have any questions about these updates or are interested in breaking some ground of your own in the state of Hessen, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’d be happy to assist in whatever way we can.
