Consul General of Türkiye visited HTAI

Nagihan İlknur Akdevelioğlu, Consul General of Türkiye, visited Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH (HTAI) in Wiesbaden. The focus of the meeting at the economic development organization of the State of Hessen was the expansion of economic cooperation between Türkiye and Hessen. HTAI CEO Dr. Rainer Waldschmidt and Jonas Winkler, Director Location Marketing & Investor Services, discussed the attractiveness of Hessen as a business location for expanding companies from Türkiye, and vice versa.

Hessen offers excellent conditions for Turkish companies, especially in the business services, ICT and automotive sectors. Türkiye is of strategic importance for Hessen as a source market for foreign direct investment (FDI). The economic relations between Hessen and Turkey are very close. HTAI supports Hessian companies in establishing business relations in Türkiye.

Last summer, Dr. Waldschmidt was part of a delegation to Türkiye led by the Minister for European Affairs, Manfred Pentz. The program included political talks in Istanbul and a visit to the Hessian partner region of Bursa.

In June of this year, HTAI's Investor Advisory Service will host an event in Istanbul for Turkish companies interested in expanding into Germany. The FDI initiative also includes a visit to the Automechanika trade show.
