Kulzer opens state-of-the-art research center in Hanau

Leading global dental company unveils an impressive new R&D facility at its headquarters in Hanau.

Kulzer, one of the world’s leading dental companies and part of the Mitsui Chemicals Group, recently opened a state-of-the-art research and development center at its headquarters in Hanau. The ribbon-cutting ceremony took place on June 20, 2023, with Hanau’s mayor, Claus Kaminsky, in attendance.

The strategic move marks a significant investment in advancing the company’s core capabilities and pioneering dental technologies for the future. The center features two floors of cutting-edge laboratory facilities spread across 2,100 square meters. The development reflects Kulzer’s dedication to advancing dental technology and a desire to bundle expertise and foster collaboration among its departments. The new center will focus on exploring groundbreaking materials and developing reliable dental solutions for professionals and patients alike.

Founded in 1935, Kulzer has a long history in Hanau and the state of Hessen. The company is an important employer, with more than 300 employees in Hanau. Kulzer is planning new hires for the new, expanded R&D Competence Center.

Worldwide Kulzer employs 1,400 people at 26 locations. In 2013, the company was acquired by Mitsui Chemicals Group, becoming part of one of the world’s major chemical companies with comprehensive expertise in the healthcare business.
