Smithers, a leading provider of testing, consulting, information, and compliance services, will soon open a new laboratory in Neu-Isenburg near Frankfurt, Germany, dedicated to testing medical devices and pharmaceutical products. As part of the company’s Medical Device Testing Division, the facility will focus on drug delivery device testing services for customers in Europe and worldwide.

The decision to build the new testing laboratory near Frankfurt underscores the area’s strategic importance for the healthcare and pharmaceuticals industry and the active support of Hessen’s economic development community, including FrankfurtRheinMain GmbH, the municipal economic development office of Neu-Isenburg, and Hessen Trade & Invest GmbH.

The 800-square-meter laboratory, strategically located just 12 kilometers from Frankfurt Airport, will provide convenient access for both on-site client visits and the transport of client samples for testing. Outfitted with state-of-the-art equipment, the facility will offer a full range of testing services, including feasibility studies, engineering verification, and standard and nonstandard testing (ISO, ASTM, or Pharmacopeia).

“With a growing list of clients in Germany and throughout the European Union, this laboratory helps to bring our testing capabilities closer to our clientele,” said Gael Peron, President of Smithers Medical Device Testing Division.

The new laboratory is expected to be fully operational in the coming months, and Smithers is already accepting inquiries and orders for testing services. The company invites clients and other interested parties to request a visit to tour the new facility and learn about its full range of testing services.
